{"id":4963,"date":"2022-03-03T16:58:19","date_gmt":"2022-03-03T16:58:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/astronauts-theatre.gr\/english\/astro\/?p=4963"},"modified":"2022-05-02T16:12:26","modified_gmt":"2022-05-02T16:12:26","slug":"%ce%b7-%ce%ad%ce%ba%ce%b8%ce%b5%cf%83%ce%b7-la-bella-greca-%ce%ae-%cf%8c%cf%84%ce%b9-%ce%b1%cf%80%ce%ad%ce%bc%ce%b5%ce%b9%ce%bd%ce%b5-%ce%ba%cf%8c%ce%ba%ce%ba%ce%b9%ce%bd%ce%bf-%ce%bd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/astronauts-theatre.gr\/english\/%ce%b7-%ce%ad%ce%ba%ce%b8%ce%b5%cf%83%ce%b7-la-bella-greca-%ce%ae-%cf%8c%cf%84%ce%b9-%ce%b1%cf%80%ce%ad%ce%bc%ce%b5%ce%b9%ce%bd%ce%b5-%ce%ba%cf%8c%ce%ba%ce%ba%ce%b9%ce%bd%ce%bf-%ce%bd\/","title":{"rendered":"La bella Greca or whatever\u2019s left"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The exhibition <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">&#8220;La bella Greca<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"> or whatever\u2019s left&#8221; follows the paths of <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Manto Mavrogenous\u2019 life and actions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The paths of the life and actions of one of the few recognizable heroines of 1821, Manto Mavrogenous, are followed by the visual artist Eirini Tsiraki and the performer Frosso Zagoraiou who have created a visual installation that in combination with the art of performance and video art, presented in Tinos, Mykonos Paros, Crete and Athens with the exclusive sponsorship of Piraeus Bank.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The creators of the art project &#8220;La bella Greca or whatever\u2019s left&#8221; aim at presenting the heroine, in the places where she had lived and acted, as an icon \u2013 symbol, a representative and a spokesperson of the timeless values and messages that remain powerfully relevant. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Having a lithograph of Adam Friedel as a starting point and combining painting with monotype and collage, the visual artist Eirini Tsiraki creates artworks via which the heroine&#8217;s personality gets unfold. Manto meets important women and interacts with them, developing a relationship of a timeless exchange of ideas and values. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">This is another cultural action that is part of Piraeus Bank&#8217;s multifaceted anniversary programme for the celebration of the bicentennial of the Greek Revolution and the establishment of the modern Greek state. The programme has been designed and implemented in collaboration with academic and scientific institutions, museums, cultural associations and distinguished professionals at the forefront of their respective fields. The programme is disseminated to the public via the Bank\u2019s digital channels.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The production of this multi-artistic initiative is implemented by the theatrical association &#8220;Astronauts&#8221; and curated by Giannis Markantonakis. Olympia Sideridou has supervised the costume selection and Stefanos Kosmidis the film direction.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\"
